English: Fig 27 Star Map Showing Six Chief Constellations, from A. Frederick Collins' The book of stars; being a simple explanation of the stars and their uses to boy life, written to conform to the tests of the Boy scouts (1920, New York, D. Appleton and Co.)
The 6 chief constellations indicated on the map in relation to the North Star include The Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Cassiopeia, Aurega (Auriga), Taurus, and Orion. This version of the image has been cropped to remove book text leaving only the illustration. The image has also been digitally edited to white balance it and return the background to solid white. |
